There were reports of communal violence from many areas of the country on Ram Navami. According to the videos circulated on social media, swords were raised and provocative slogans were raised in Muslim areas in Ram Navami processions many places.

At the same time, according to the official information which is in the media and is the official version, a peaceful procession was taken out on which stones were pelted. Without any provocation. Till now the atmosphere of India has been such that Muslims have been welcoming the Hindus in the festival procession with sharbat and flowers, while the Hindus have been hugging the Muslims during the festival. But this is a new India, where flowers and sharbat have been replaced by swords and stones.

Who instigated whom and who first committed the violence is a matter of investigation.

Although governments now rely on direct action, not investigations, they bulldozed homes of miscreants, assuming the violence is perpetrated by Muslims. However, if you look at the videos on social media, in many places the procession is seen to be provocative. Abusive words were used and there are also signs of vandalism in Temples and Dargah.

Ram Navami Violence: Himmat Nagar, Gujarat

Some Hindus were taking out a Ram Navami procession, waving swords in the air, in Himmatnagar, 90 km from Ahmedabad. As the procession reached Ashraf Nagar, a Muslim-dominated locality, clashes broke out between Hindu and Muslim groups. According to the report of The Wire, they were told by eyewitnesses that abusive words were used during this period, due to which the dispute escalated.

The Himmatnagar division police then imposed a ban on the Ram Navami rally, but members of the Bajrang Dal and VHP forcibly took out the rally from Muslim-dominated areas. Seeing the procession coming, people hid in their homes. Some people thought it appropriate to respond to the provocation and a riot broke out.

Ram Navami Violence: Khargone, Madhya Pradesh

On the day of Ram Navami, a procession took out from Talab Chowk in Khargone city of Madhya Pradesh. Instigating songs were played in the procession, after which stone-pelting started. More than 30 houses and shops were set on fire. BJP leader Kapil Mishra also participated in this celebration. According to him, this violence was pre-planned. The Muslims attacked the Hindu procession with full preparation.

A policeman was also injured in this stone-pelting. According to sources, the violence started over the DJ playing the song in loud voice. Two communities clashed and a riot broke out. The bullet was also fired, and Khargone's Superintendent of Police Siddharth Choudhary was shot in the leg.

The Shivraj government has got bulldozers fired at the homes of Muslims who were accused of rioting.

Howrah, West Bengal

There was a lot of ruckus on Ram Navami in Howrah, West Bengal. There were clashes at many places. The police took care of the matter. According to sources, the members of the two communities hurled stones at each other when the rally reached Panchsheel Apartments around 5 pm. The tension escalated when the rally moved towards Mullick Fatak and Fazir Bazar.

Lohardaga, Jharkhand

In Jharkhand's Lohardaga too, there was stone pelting on the Ram Navami procession and after that, there were reports of arson. Many people were injured. Tight security arrangements were made in the state due to the violence. At least four people were injured after clashes broke out in the Hirhi area of Lohardaga district in Jharkhand after incidents of stone-pelting during Shobha Yatra.

Muzaffarpur, Bihar

On Ram Navami, a man in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur reportedly climbed on top of a mosque and placed a saffron flag. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

A group of Hindus took out a procession in front of the Dak Bangla Masjid in Mohammadpur village on Ram Navami, NDTV reported.
