Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that the third phase vaccination will not start from Saturday. He appealed to the public not to put a line in front of the vaccination centers on Saturday.
In his statement he has said, “We have not yet received the vaccine, we are in constant contact with the companies and hope that we will get the vaccine by tomorrow or day after tomorrow.” The company has assured us that by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, we will get the first shipment of 3 lakh covshields”.
“You are requested not to put lines in front of the vaccination center tomorrow, as soon as we get the vaccine, we will announce it. After this, those who have booked an appointment can go to the centers and get vaccinated. ”
“We have demanded 67-67 lakh doses from both companies within the next three months, which will be paid by the Delhi government.” People of Delhi will get the vaccine for free. We try our best to get all of Delhi vaccinated in the coming three months.”
Earlier, Health Minister Satyendar Jain of Delhi has also expressed doubts over the commencement of vaccination from May 1.
Satyendra Jain said on Thursday that there is a shortage of doses of corona vaccine in the capital. He said that at the moment we are waiting for the supply of vaccine from the companies.
Jain said that people will be informed when supplies arrive. Satyendra Jain said, ‘We do not currently have a stock of Corona vaccine. We have demanded from the company about the vaccine and we will inform you when it arrives.’
Satyendra Jain said that the companies have not even given the schedule of supply of Corona vaccine.
