Ground Report | New Delhi: Mumbai cruise drugs case; Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's eldest son Aryan Khan was detained during a raid at a party held on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday night.

According to the officials of Narcotics Control Bureau, investigation is going on and Aryan is being questioned. "Further action will depend on the medical report".

NCB chief SN Pradha said, "This is the result of a rigorous investigation that lasted two weeks. We acted on specific intelligence inputs, the involvement of some Bollywood links has come to the fore."

The NCB, which has been actively looking into the alleged drugs case in Bollywood since the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, conducted a surprise raid on Saturday night on the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise ship near Mumbai, following specific inputs. The agency said it has detained 13 people, including three women, and has so far summoned six party planners.

The anti-drug agency has also registered an FIR in relation to the drugs party. It said that during the operation various drugs like MDMA, Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and Charas hidden in the clothes of the suspects were recovered. The NCB said those detained would be produced in the court later in the day after completion of legal formalities.

"Based on specific information, NCB Mumbai officials raided Cordelia cruise from Mumbai to Goa on 02.10.2021. During the operation, as per information, all the suspects were searched for various drugs like MDMA/Ecstasy. Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and Charas have been recovered.Total 08 persons including 02 women have been apprehended and their role in relation to the said recovery is being probed.NCB Mumbai has registered crime number CR 94/21 in this case It is. Further investigation is on."
