In the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the Anti-Drug Agency Narcotics Control Bureau has filed a charge in the special court.
About 12,000 pages of charge sheet have been filed against 33 people including Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case. On Friday, the Narcotics Control Bureau filed a charge sheet in the special NDPS court of the Mumbai session court.
The NCB had six months to file a chargesheet on the basis of the first arrest made in September.
In August, the NCB registered a drug investigation in a private WhatsApp chat between Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty and some employees of Sushant Singh Rajput in an investigation conducted by the ED or the Enforcement Directorate in the Sushant Singh death case. Then the investigation was started with the drugs angle in this case.
The NCB has accused them all of procuring and supplying drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput. In its 6-month investigation, the agency raided several locations in Maharashtra and uncovered an ongoing drugs racket in the city and within Bollywood.
The NCB had questioned several stars including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, Shraddha Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the investigation into the drugs case.
All these statements and other findings have been submitted to the court by the agency through a charge sheet, which will now be verified and then the accused will be asked to appear before the court.
However, the agency said that in some cases some people are still being questioned and investigation is still going on.
Earlier, NCB also questioned Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor in this case. The NCB has filed a charge sheet after an investigation that has been going on for more than six months and recording the statements of dozens of people.
