Heavy rain disrupted daily life in Mumbai on Monday, flooding key roads and slowing down traffic across the city. The downpour started early in the morning and led to waterlogging in several low-lying areas.
The Andheri subway was closed due to nearly two feet of water. Authorities began draining operations using pumps, and the road is expected to reopen soon. Until then, traffic is being diverted through Gokhale Bridge and Thackeray Bridge, according to Mumbai Traffic Police.
