Nine victims were immediately transported to nearby hospitals, but unfortunately, two of them died. As of last night, three of the victims remained in critical condition, while four others were stable, according to Boyd.

The suspected gunman, who has not been publicly identified, was shot and killed by a police officer responding to an unrelated call at the mall. The shooter is believed to have acted alone, according to authorities.

A video circulating on social media shows people frantically running through a parking lot as gunshots can be heard in the background. A live aerial broadcast from a news station revealed the presence of armored trucks and other police vehicles parked outside a sprawling outdoor mall.

More than 30 police vehicles with flashing lights blocked the entrance to the mall and several ambulances, including some from neighboring cities, arrived at the scene.

The Dallas office of the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also responded to the shooting. The suburb of Allen, which is located approximately 25 miles north of downtown Dallas and is home to approximately 105,000 residents, was the site of this tragic incident.
