Saudi and Pakistan are both Sunni Muslim majority countries and Iran Shia Muslim majority countries. The close of Saudi and Pakistani has been historic, whereas that warmth has never been with Iran.

The enmity between Iran and Saudi Arabia is not hidden from anyone. In such a situation, it was not easy for Pakistan to increase friendship with Iran by staying close to Saudi. Now that Saudi is closer to India, friendship between Pakistan and Iran is increasing. Iran's Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif has come on a two-day visit to Pakistan.

A delegation has also arrived with the Iranian foreign minister. On Tuesday evening, Jawad Zarif met Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa.

This is the fourth visit of Jawad Zarif in the last two and a half years after Imran Khan came to power. Pakistan's foreign ministry says that the Iranian foreign minister's visit to Pakistan is part of the growing trust in bilateral relations between the two countries.

During this visit, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that Iran will open the Rimdan crossing point next week, which is 130 km from Chabahar Port. Jawad Zarif also expressed the hope that Pakistan would also open Gabe crossing points to promote trade. It is said about the Rimdan crossing point that its opening will boost import-export.

Exports and imports of fruits, meat, construction materials and petroleum products in particular will be encouraged. Regarding his Pakistan tour, Jawad Zarif posted a few pictures of the meeting on Twitter, writing, "There was a very good conversation about business and security in Pakistan tour. The two countries have agreed on Afghanistan, global issues and Islamophobia.
