Tell us something about yourself.

Hello, I'm Aarnav Kalra, the mind behind Beforv, a digital media startup with an Instagram community exceeding 600k followers. Our focus revolves around media promotions, branding, and consultancy services, catering to a niche in filmmaking and photography. Beyond my entrepreneurial journey, I hold a degree in Hotel and Hospitality Administration and have a passion for continuous learning in the business realm.

How would you describe Beforv? What is the motivation and idea behind starting the brand?

Beforv is a globally recognized Instagram platform focused on media promotions and branding. Garnering an impressive monthly reach of over 126 million impressions, we’ve accomplished a significant feat by gaining 600,000 dedicated Instagram followers since our establishment in July 2019. In addition to our core offerings, we excel in digital and social media marketing, as well as crafting compelling content.

Beforv on a business front has managed to acquire 650+ international clients & over 50 international brand collaborations with brands like Nikon, Insta360, Fujifilm, PowerVision etc.

The inspiration to create something like Beforv began nearly 5 years ago when I initiated several digital media startups. While those ventures faced failures, each setback served as a valuable lesson, contributing to a more informed and successful approach this time around.

It must have been a tough journey for you, Could you share with us the Challenges faced by You? And how do you tackle those challenges?

I wouldn't describe the journey as tough; rather, it's been more on the challenging side. Many entrepreneurs can likely relate, facing daily challenges ranging from operations to hiring. Our major presence on Instagram adds an extra layer of unpredictability, as the platform's algorithm and dynamics can be quite tricky. To stay relevant, we delve into studying insights, community rules, demographics, and what resonates with our audience. The better our engagement, the more we can achieve with brand collaborations. Understanding Instagram, with its ever-changing nature, is a significant challenge, but we tackle it head-on, as it aligns with the demands of our startup.

Where do you see Beforv, 5 years from now?

We @beforv, our fascination with production is a driving force. Looking ahead five years, I envision it evolving into a prominent production house. On the business front, our growth in the past three years has been nearly 1468%, and that's the trajectory I aspire to sustain, transforming it into something much more significant.

You've reached so far in the journey, you must've had some key takeaways you always look up to?

We @beforv operate by some crucial principles:

1. Always prioritize and focus on the bigger picture, never compromising it for short-term financial gains.

2. Recognize the power of saying no and embrace positive reinforcement.

3. Acknowledge that making it big is impossible without an exceptional team by your side.

There goes a saying that Books are Entrepreneurs' Best friends. On a lighter note, I would like to ask what books you read. How do you apply those learnings to your startup or in daily life?

To be honest, I'm not much of a reader and never have been. I strongly believe in the power of listening, which is why I prefer podcasts and audiobooks over traditional reading. Listening helps me understand things better, and to date, I've only fully read one book, "Rich Dad Poor Dad," which has significantly influenced who I am today.

Regarding the latter part of your question, I don't just absorb information passively; I'm a knowledge enthusiast. When I learn from audiobooks or podcasts, I extract key points and actively work on implementing them in my life.

We sincerely hope that you had a fun time answering the questions. We wish you all the best and luck for your future endeavours.

Thank you once again. Have a nice day.
