A Virat Hindu Sabha video has surfaced showing Nand Kishore Gurjar 'admiring being involved in the 2020 North East Delhi riots'.

At this meeting, many leaders including BJP MP Pravesh Verma and Jagat Guru Yogeshwar gave objectionable statements.

A video of the event shared on social media showed Gurjar delivering a speech in his incendiary style.

“Riots occurred in Delhi over CAA. The Jehadists began to kill Hindus. You were there and you let us in. I was accused of entering Delhi with 2.5 lakh people.

According to the newspaper, in this video Gurjar is seen saying, "We don't bother anyone, but if someone bothers our sister and daughter, we don't even leave. There was a riot inside Delhi regarding the CAA. So these jihadis are killing Hindus.

"We went to explain, but the police registered a case against us that we did the job of killing jihadis. We will kill jihadis. We will always kill them." “Hum to samjhane ke liye gaye the lekin hum par police ne mukadma darj kar diya ki humne jehadiyon ko marne ka kaam kiya (We went there to explain to people, but the police registered a case against us that we killed jihadis),” Gurjar could be heard saying in the alleged video.

However, when asked about this by The Indian Express, he claimed that he was talking about the violence in Loni and Ghaziabad.

The Delhi Police have registered a case regarding the statements made at this meeting. He also said that he will not desist from killing "jihadis" if they kill any Hindu.

Gurjar said that he has seen some videos on social media but they have been "misunderstood".

An FIR has been filed against Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the other organizers of the event, police said on Monday.

“An FIR has been registered against the organizers under IPC Sec 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) for failing to obtain permission from the police,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahadra) R Sathiyasundaram said.

The VHP dismissed the claim that permission for the event was not taken from city police as "laughable" and said police personnel were deployed to the event venue in Dilshad Garden.
