MP High Court directed Govt. to provide free treatment of cancer in AIIMS to Gas Tragedy survivors

The government has taken this decision a year after the direction of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

On 23 September 2021, the Jabalpur High Court, while hearing the petition of Bhopal Gas Peedit Mahila Udyog Sangathan and Nagrik Upbhokta Manch, had said that free treatment should be arranged in Bhopal AIIMS for the victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy who are suffering from cancer.

For the treatment of these victims, separate gas relief hospitals were built in Bhopal. But there has always been an allegation of not getting the right treatment in these hospitals.
