Due to the continued air travel between India and Britain, this variant also reached Britain.

Earlier this week, British Health Minister Matt Hencok said that Indian variants have been found in 103 infected. Only after this, Britain put India in the list of countries from which the UK cannot travel.

The variant is believed to play a major role in the very rapid spread of the second wave of infection in India.

The latest data currently show that covaxine is effective in neutralizing the 617 variants (double mutants) of the corona. Therefore, vaccination is the most important weapon against the difficult situation that we are seeing in India.
