Ground Report | New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Ghulam Ahmed Mir says before the meeting with PM Modi that we will not talk about 370 at the moment. He said, 'At the moment we will not talk about it. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are under tension since the reorganization of the state on August 5, 2019.'

Yusuf Tarigami, CPIM leader said We want this to be a good initiative to solve the problems, issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. Whatever was done to us was not done keeping in mind the Constitution.

On the question of being against the restoration of 370, the J&K Congress Chief said We will not talk about it now. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are upset over the bifurcation of the state and the end of its special status on August 5, 2019. 

This is the first meeting of PM Modi with the leaders of all the parties of the state after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and the reorganization of the state on August 5, 2019. The agenda of this meeting has not been clarified yet, but it is believed that there can be talk about starting the election process in the state and delimitation before that. The commission for delimitation of assembly seats has already been constituted by the central government, which has started its work.

Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and many other senior officials will participate in this meeting. Meanwhile, panic has spread in Srinagar after a suspicious bag was found. At present, a squad has been called to investigate this bag. In view of the meeting called by PM Narendra Modi in Delhi regarding Jammu and Kashmir, a high alert has been issued in the state.
