Complete story of a 16 year old girl stoned to death in Delhi

A tragic incident occurred in the Shahbad Dairy locality of Delhi, where a 16-year-old girl named Sakshi was brutally murdered. Supposedly, her friend mercilessly stabbed her 20 times with a knife. The horrific act took place in front of Sakshi's residence in Delhi's JJ colony, Shahbad. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.

Sahil, a friend of Sakshi's, has become the prime suspect in this gruesome crime. Eyewitnesses and local residents in the surrounding area were shocked and horrified to witness the tragic incident. Despite their presence, they were unable to prevent the heinous act from occurring.

A brave individual attempted to intervene by grabbing Sahil's hand, but was ultimately unable to muster the courage to stop the attacker.

What happened?

During the unfortunate incident, the teenager was on her way to her friend's son's birthday when Sahil confronted her, leading to a heated argument between the two. Sahil proceeded to brutally stab her multiple times, her knife even lodged in the victim's skull. Disturbingly, Sahil picked up a nearby rock and hit his head five times, India Today reported.

The entire sequence of events was captured on CCTV, and bystanders were seen in the vicinity during the incident. It is believed that the accused and the victim were in a relationship.

The victim's father filed a complaint, which resulted in the registration of an FIR under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code at the Shahbad Dairy Police Station.

According to the initial findings of the autopsy report, the girl suffered a skull fracture during the attack. The report also claims that she was stabbed 16 times, the ANI news agency reported. More details are awaited from the post-mortem report.

Arrest

Sahil (20), the alleged perpetrator, had fled after the crime. However, on Monday he was detained by police near Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh.

A massive manhunt was launched to track down the accused, who was believed to be the victim's boyfriend. Suman Nalwa, Deputy Commissioner of Police in Delhi, confirmed the arrest, stating: "We have arrested Sahil from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

He was working as an air-conditioning and refrigerator mechanic. The investigation is ongoing and we will ensure that the accused receives the maximum penalty".

We want death sentence

As the girl's family demanded the death penalty for Sahil, the man accused of the brutal murder, they expressed their dismay that they did not know him. The girl's family had tried to ask about her boyfriend, but she had hidden it from them.

Police Special Commissioner Deependra Pathak stressed the importance of bystanders stepping in to prevent such gruesome killings. He stressed that in a city like Delhi, where anonymity exists, community relations matter. He urged people to intervene and deter offenders from committing such crimes, emphasizing that such interventions could save lives.

Sahil's landlord, who lived as a tenant with his family, stated that Sahil had been residing there peacefully for the past two years and had not been involved in any neighborhood disputes. The owner, Ramphool, mentioned having seen the video of the incident and expressed surprise at Sahil's actions.

Sahil, who worked as an air conditioner and refrigerator mechanic, was arrested in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He is accused of stabbing the girl several times and brutally hitting her on the head in the Shahbad Dairy area.

The girl's parents, unaware of her daughter's relationship with the accused, expressed their demand for justice in this tragic case.

L-G sir, do something: Arvind Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), strongly condemned the heinous murder and urged the Lieutenant Governor (L-G) to take immediate action.

He tweeted, “A minor girl is brutally murdered openly in Delhi. This is very sad and unfortunate. Criminals have become fearless. There is no fear of the police. L-G sir, law and order is your responsibility. Do something. The safety of the people of Delhi is of paramount importance.”

Swati Maliwal, Head of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), expressed grave concern over the deteriorating safety of women in the national capital and issued a notice to the police over the brutal murder.

“A minor innocent girl was stabbed and then crushed with a stone in Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area. The spirits of such monsters in Delhi are high. Issuing notice to the police. All limits have been crossed. I have never seen anything more horrifying than this in my career of so many years,” she said, tagging the video of the incident on Twitter.
