At the same time, the 12th examination has been postponed. The decision will be taken after taking the 12th examination.

The ministry says that for this, the situation will be reviewed once again on June 1.

The CBSE examinations were scheduled to be held from May 4 to June 14.

After a meeting of a high level committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Ministry of Education gave this information on Wednesday.

News agency ANI says that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Education Secretary and other top officials met on Wednesday to consider the issue of CBSE board examinations.

On Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the Central Government to cancel the CBSE Board examinations in the wake of increasing cases of corona infection in the capital region.

In this year's CBSE board examinations, 21,50,761 children were supposed to appear while 14,30,243 children are expected to appear in the 12th examination.

On normalcy, the Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the 10th and 12th examinations from February 15 to the first week of April.

After the meeting ended on Wednesday, the Ministry of Education said, "Based on the criteria set by the board, the results of class X will be prepared. The examination of class 12 will be held later".

The Education Minister said that in view of the Corona epidemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed the CBSE Board to postpone the Class X examination.
