Ground Report | New Delhi: Two non-locals Killed in Kashmir; Increasing incidents of violence are becoming a cause for concern for security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir. A golgappa seller was killed in the Srinagar area of Eidgah in Safa Kadal. In the last two weeks, militants have carried out eight such killings. Gunmen on Saturday shot dead another non-local person in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, officials said.

Two non-locals Killed in Kashmir
The gunmen fired upon the non-local from UP, Sageer Ahmad, near Litter Pulwama, leaving him critically injured. Carpenter by profession, Sageer was removed to hospital where he succumbed.
The killing comes less than an hour after unknown gunmen shot dead non-local street hawker Arvind Kumar near Eidgah in the Safa Kadal area of Srinagar on Saturday.
In another incident, another labourer from Uttar Pradesh Sagir Ahmed was attacked in Pulwama. He later succumbed to injuries.

Omar Abdullah condemned killing
National Conference leader Omar Abdullah condemned the killing of the street vendor and wrote, "Strongly condemn the killing of street vendor Arvind Kumar in a terror attack in Srinagar today. This is yet another case of a civilian being targeted like this. All Arvind Kumar did was come to Srinagar in search of earning opportunities & it’s reprehensible that he was murdered."
Kashmiri Pandit Makhan Lal Bindoo, popularly known as a pharmacist in Srinagar and the owner of a renowned pharmacy, was shot dead by terrorists. Like today's attack, a non-Kashmiri street vendor was shot dead by terrorists near Madina Chowk. He was also from Bihar - from Bhagalpur. On the same day, a civilian was shot dead in Bandipora, North Kashmir.
Major attacks in the last 11 days
October 5: Famous pharmacist Makhanlal Bindroo was shot dead by terrorists entering his medical store in the Iqbal Park area of Srinagar.
7 October: In Srinagar, two teachers were killed by militants after entering a school in the Eidgah area.
October 5: A civilian was shot dead by terrorists in Bandipora district. Militants fired at a man identified as Mohd Shafi Lone in the Shahgund area of Bandipora.
