Why RIP Mani Shankar Aiyar is trending, What's the whole matter

Ground Report | New Delhi: RIP Mani Shankar Aiyar; Images of Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar were shared on Monday by at least four verified Twitter users from the Congress party. On Twitter, Congress party state handles began sharing images of top leader Mani Shankar Aiyar without any title or context.

The first to do so was the UP Congress Twitter page, which published the image of Mani Shankar Aiyar. While initially taken as a misstep or a successful hacking attempt, controllers from INC Chhattisgarh and Telangana Congress jumped on the bandwagon soon after.

Around 7:55 p.m. INC UP tweeted her photo without any caption or context. INC Chhattisgarh later quoted him on Twitter with another photo of Aiyar, again without any caption or context.

At the time of this report, all of the tweets are still there and no other state Congressional accounts have responded to INC Telangana's tweet.

In the same way as the UP Congress, images of Mani Shankar Aiyar were posted on the Twitter pages of INC Chhattisgarh and Telangana Congress without a title or context, leaving netizens scratching their heads.

Many users on Twitter also suspected that someone had hacked the verified Twitter handles of the Congress party and shared photos of Mani Shankar Aiyar. Mani Shankar Aiyar, a civil servant turned politician, is a three-time Lok Sabha MP who was also a Rajya Sabha nominee from 2010 to 2016.

Meanwhile, the BJP has evoked Aiyar's statement that he "needs Pakistan's help to remove Prime Minister Modi", claiming that after the latter's searing speech, Congress was once again "reiterating that call", or made reference to the castist insult "neech aadmi" that Aiyar had directed at Modi. which had spiraled into a controversy by that time.
