Shraddha Gupta, 32, was a resident of Lucknow. A purported suicide note was written by the deceased read, “Papa Mummy, Vivek Gupta, Ashish Tiwari (SSF Head LCO), and Anil Rawat (Police, Faizabad) – all three are the reason behind my suicide. I am sorry for that.”
According to news agency PTI, Gupta was posted in Faizabad, Ayodhya in 2018. When a milkman knocked on her door in the morning, she was found dead and later she informed the landlord about the lack of response.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has demanded a high-level judicial inquiry into the alleged suicide.
“The manner in which the policemen are directly accused in the suicide note found in the suicide case of a woman employee of Punjab National Bank in Ayodhya is the bitter truth of the law and order situation in UP. This is a very serious issue. To directly name an IPS officer in this,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.
