The statement further said that Waqar Younis, who was appointed as the bowling coach in 2019, said that after Misbah’s decision, he also decided to resign and was very satisfied to work with the young bowlers. PCB chief executive Wasim Khan said that the PCB respects the decisions of both.
Pakistan’s next match is against New Zealand, which will arrive in Pakistan on September 12 to play three ODIs and five T20I matches. Saqlain Mushtaq and Abdul Razzaq will be the interim coach of the national cricket team in this series.
