Israel-Palestine Conflict: The war between Hamas and Israel that started on Saturday continues for the second day. Israel has said that 26 of its soldiers were killed in the war on Sunday morning. Hamas militants took more than two hundred Israelis hostages, including defense personnel, women, and children. On the other hand, Lebanese-based terrorist organisation Hezbollah also attacks Israel using mortars; in counterpart, Israel defense forces have started air strikes on Lebanon.
Hamas attacked Israel with at least two thousand on October 7. On the next day of war, the commander of the Israeli Defence Force Nahal Brigade deployed its commanding force on the Gaza border. In retaliation, 256 Palestinians were killed; more than 1,864 people were injured in Israel and 1,700 in Palestine.
Israeli Force spokesperson Jonathan Conricus released a video alleging Hamas. He said,
“Hamas may have killed many women and children. We do not have any concrete information about this. Efforts are being made to save them."
The Israeli PM declared a state of war.
Israel’s PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, addressed the public on Saturday amidst the war. He said, “Israel had never seen what happened on Saturday, and we will never let it happen again. Hamas wants to kill us all. He is killing mothers and children in their homes. This war can go on for a long time. We will destroy Hamas using the full power of our defence forces. People living in Gaza should get out. He (Hamas) is an enemy who targets the elderly, children, and girls. They are massacring children and civilians enjoying the holidays. He added that this is a war, and we will definitely win it. The enemies will have to pay the price for this.
Israel and Hamas both started operations against each other
Hamas has named its operation against Israel 'Al-Aqsa Flood. At the same time, Israel’s army started the ‘Swords of Iron’ operation against Hamas. The Israeli army requested that people in seven areas of the Gaza Strip leave their homes and go to the shelter homes built in the city. The army will attack Hamas positions here. This has happened for the first time since 1948.
