Indian cricketer Virat Kohli tweeted a picture, after which the market of speculation is hot whether Virat Kohli is about to retire.
Virat Kohli is currently on a break and during this time shared a picture of the India-Pakistan match in Melbourne in T20 World Cup on Twitter and Instagram. In that picture, he is standing with a bat.
Kohli wrote with this picture, “October 23, 2022 will always be a special day in my heart. I have never felt such energy in any match before. What a wonderful evening it was."
In that very interesting match played between India and Pakistan in Melbourne, Virat Kohli played an inning of 82 balls in 53 balls. Pakistan had given a target of 160 runs to India and the excitement of this match remained till the last ball. Kohli made the seemingly impossible victory possible for India.
There was a stage in the match when 28 runs were needed from 8 balls and India's victory was very less, but Kohli's unbeaten innings gave India to victory against Pakistan.
Reaction
After this tweet by Virat Kohli, many cricket fans are apprehensive about whether he has given any indication of retirement.
A user wrote on Twitter, “Brother, do not write anything by putting such a photo. Heartbeat increases. Hasn't he announced his retirement somewhere?"
A user named Soni said, "At first I thought the dreaded 'R' word was coming."
One of the main reasons why some of the fans fear a Kohli retirement announcement is the popular belief that India wants to rebuild its T20I team after constant failures in multinational tournaments.
There were reports suggesting the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli gradually abandon the game's shorter format to focus more on ODIs for the World Cup on home soil next year.
