Life Amid Pandemic; The New Normal

The World has entered the third year of the Pandemic. Covid-19 struck China in December, 2019 and the rest of the world in early 2020. Life has never been the same as before, It has taken a 180 degree turn. The pace of life slowed down and today we all are adjusting to this new normal.

For some the Pandemic has been a boon while for others it has been a bane. The shift is definitely not a neutral one and it's new for every one of us. People gained and lost numerous things. Digitalization in its true sense has prevailed, everything has been shifted online. Offices and Schools have been shut. Work From Home is popular and even many Multinational Companies (MNCs) have declared that their employees can permanently work from home as well, while the other companies are also considering this option. Tasks are being pursued either on a remote basis or in hybrid mode.

The world is trying to reach the point that and even some countries have accepted that, The pandemic is not relevant anymore and has declared to live with it and take precautions for one’s own safety. Now, the world is moving from the phase of Pandemic to Endemic.

I personally feel this is important as everything has been affected seriously, the pandemic left the people in shambles. People have grown sick of it and sometimes they don’t even tend to follow rules for their own safety. The citizens are realising that they cannot sit in their homes forever, They have to move on in their lives, accept it and start living with it.

Nobody knows when this is going to end as the mutations keep on happening and we get new mutants every once in a while. We cannot just lay back and accept, we have to fight against it. Past 2 years surely have provided opportunities in the virtual mode but the fact cannot be denied that these years have also kept us away from the opportunities which we could’ve bagged in, in-person.
