The investigation of the Indian Express has revealed that from the officials posted in Ayodhya to the big leaders, there is a competition to buy land in Ayodhya. According to the report, the families of these officers had bought land within a 5 km radius of the Ram temple site after the Supreme Court's decision.

In which MLA, Mayor, and a member of the State OBC Commission, who have bought land in their name. Including the relatives of Divisional Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Circle Officer of Police, State Information Commissioner, 14 such cases have come to the fore for taking plots.

It is clear that after the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the nature of Ayodhya will change. In such a situation, people are showing speed in buying land from here. At the same time, cases of alleged irregularities in the purchase of land have also come to the fore. The special thing is that in five cases, the investigation into the purchase of land from Maharishi Ramayana Vidyapeeth Trust (MRVT), Dalit villagers, is being done by the same officials whose relatives bought the land.

A person named Amar Jeet Yadav along with Tripti Gupta, wife of Atul Gupta, brother-in-law of Purushottam Das Gupta, who was the Chief Revenue Officer of Ayodhya from 20 July 2018 to 10 September 2021, bought MRVT from 1,130 square meters in Barhta Manjha on 12 October 2021 for Rs 21.88 lakh. On the other hand, Purushottam Das Gupta said that he had no role in the investigation against MRVT nor had he bought any land in his name.

Deepak Kumar, who held the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) from 26 July 2020 to 30 March 2021, is now the DIG of Aligarh. His wife's sister Mahima Thakur had bought 1,020 square meters in Barhta Manjha from MRVT for Rs 19.75 lakh on September 1, 2021.

Tarun Mittal, the nephew of Ayodhya Legislative Assembly MLA Ved Prakash Gupta, bought 5,174 square meters of land in Barhata Manjha from Renu Singh and Seema Soni for Rs 1.15 crore on 21 November 2019. On December 29, 2020, he bought 14,860 square meters of land in Maheshpur (Gonda) beside the river Saryu, about 5 km from the temple site, Rs 4 crore from Jagdamba Singh and Jadunandan Singh.

Indra Pratap Tiwari MLA, Gosaiganj, Ayodhya District bought 2,593 sq m in Barhata Manjha on November 18, 2019, for Rs 30 lakh from MRVT.
