Earlier, on the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, in a press conference, demanded that the families of BJP workers killed in this incident should be given compensation of Rs 50 lakh each.

Teni has once again stated that his son was not at the scene during the incident but his vehicle was targeted and attacked which could also be a murder conspiracy. “The venue of the event was 3-4 km away from the spot. Had my son or I been at the scene, we would not have survived.”

On the other hand, the administration has agreed to arrest the people responsible for this incident at the earliest and conduct a judicial inquiry into it. UP’s ADG Law and Order and Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait gave this information by holding a joint press conference.

It has also been announced that jobs will be given to the dependents of the deceased, arrest of the accused in 8 days, compensation of 45 lakhs to the next of kin of the deceased, judicial inquiry will be conducted into the incident. Along with this, compensation of 10 lakh will be given to the injured.

Congress adamant resignation

However, Congress demanded the immediate dismissal of the Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra and the arrest of his son.

According to news agency PTI, eight people, including four farmers, have died in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence and the Uttar Pradesh Police has registered an FIR against Ashish Mishra, son of the Minister of State for Home.

The party has also demanded the release of Priyanka Gandhi at the earliest. Congress alleges that Priyanka Gandhi has been kept in their custody by the UP Police.

In a press conference on Monday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said, “The whole country is agitated by the incident that happened in Lakhimpur yesterday. The incident that happened was seen by all the people through the media to see how the farmers were being vandalized. Bullets were fired. Cars were burnt and vehicles were boarded. In fact, the Bharatiya Janata Party is doing these politics only after taking inspiration from the British.”

“They can go to any extent to suppress the farmers of the whole country, the example of this is the incident in Lakhimpur. Our demand is that the Minister of State for Home should be sacked first and the minister who went with him should also be sacked. Those who try to crush the agitating people should be arrested. Because this is not an ordinary incident. Rather it is clearly a case of murder and action should be taken by registering an offense under that section.”

Congress national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh said, “Yesterday we had demanded that an inquiry should be conducted into this incident under the chairmanship of the sitting judge of the Supreme Court. This incident is not a single incident. You understand its chronology. A few days ago UP BJP A cartoon comes on the handle.

“It is written about Rakesh Tikait in the cartoon that if he comes to UP, he will be stripped. A week ago, the Minister of State for Home says that get better, or else he will reform. After that the Chief Minister of Haryana says that the agitating farmers will be beheaded. Go to jail and become a leader. Does BJP prepare its leaders like this? This is General Dyer’s government, it will be considered by the people by driving away.”
