Know about Seema Gauhar Khan, a Pakistani woman arrested in Greater Noida

In a recent development, a Pakistani woman named Seema Gauhar Khan was detained by UP police in Rabupura in Greater Noida. This happened on 3rd July 2023. But, there are a lot of things still unfolding in the case.

With the latest reports, the woman is aged 27 years and had come from Pakistani via Nepal around a month back. If you’re curious why. The reason is more interesting. Seema met a Noida man named Sachin on PUBG, and apparently, they fell in love. It is said that the girl is from Sindh province in Pakistan. Sachin and Seema were living in Greater Noida, with four children. Hence, the man too is detained by the police and is being interrogated.

As per a report, the news came to light through an advocate. The advocate became suspicious of the woman when she told him about his brother and asked him to take her on a Delhi tour. 

Although, as per other reports the reason for her travel to India isn’t clear. Further, if she has a valid passport isn’t sure as well. The investigation is underway.  Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP), Greater Noida, told The Indian Express, 

“We are checking the documents of the woman to verify that if she has valid visa or she entered illegally in the country. Further details will be shared after the investigation.”

Both the detained lived in rented accommodation. This in a way points out the lack of an efficient background check before renting a flat or an apartment. Further, Seema’s illegal entry is also a reality check into the immigration protocols and conditions of India.
