If Rubika Liyaquat's stand on Hijab Row is Progressive, Why people trolling her

Ground Report | New Delhi: Rubika Liyaquat Hijab Row; Muslim students are protesting for permission to wear the burqa in educational institutions in Karnataka. At the same time, this issue is covered on social media. Liaquat posted a series of tweets on Twitter urging girls to embrace education, not the hijab. She also shared her thoughts on the viral incident from Mandya, where a young college girl was thrashed by a mob of saffron-clad boys.

She is not worried because she is in India. She knows, the college and her non-Muslim friends will not let any of the goons harm her,” Liyaquat tweeted.

A social media user named Naseem Ahmed Siddiqui wrote using offensive language, "Keep warming Narendra Modi's bed by wearing a bikini. Do you know what is Islam and Shariah? Quit journalism and sit in the house of a prostitute.

Apart from all this, many other people also targeted Rubika Liaquat. Many activists who have opposed the 'ghunghat' on social media are now supporting the forced wearing of burqa for women in Islam. Arguments are being made in the High Court in support of this from the Quran and Hadith. Whereas the truth is that hard-minded Maulanas have imposed many restrictions on women and often insult them while talking about '72 Hur'.

Muskan, a second-year B.Com student at PES College in Mandya, faced a crowd shouting slogans against her which made her the face of self-defense. She said that in her college she is allowed to wear a burqa and hijab in class. She said, “My college administration and principal never stopped me from wearing a burqa. Some outsiders are coming and pressurizing us, who are these people stopping us? Why should we listen to them?

In fact, Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had tweeted on this issue and wrote that the Constitution gives her the right to decide whether the girl wears a bikini or a hijab. However, during this time Priyanka had forgotten that discipline is given importance in schools and colleges and the prescribed dress code has to be followed there. Replying to Priyanka Gandhi, ABP anchor Rubika Liaquat wrote, "Priyanka Gandhi Ji, you were teaching girls to fight. I didn't expect that from you. There will be no bikini, no veil, no hijab in school.

Liyaquat tweeted, “All these khalas, pretending to play duffel for women’s rights, have left their veils, hijab, burqa dupatta behind and today instead of bringing the girls forward, they are pushing back..solidarity masquerade. So that their agenda continues.” She added the hashtag, ‘hijab nahi kitaab do.’
