But, It's not the first time incidents of murders which in nature is inhumane, barbaric, and insane is in the news. Especially In India, crimes against women, are never about women, their victimhood, helplessness, or suffering. They are just ideal tools for propaganda and prejudice.

However, incidents like these should have sparked a discussion about women's security and safety, their traumas, hardships, and persecution on all levels. But has continued to merely become a matter of Hindu-Muslim conflict.

The Shraddha Walkar murder case is making headlines across the country. Many aspects of the murder come to light every day, but what comes to light in the media is shown and told by citing police sources. The police claim that Aftab Poonawalla, who lives in a relationship with Shraddha, is the killer and killed Shraddha about six months ago on May 18.

Anupama Gulati murder case

Twelve years before the murder of Shraddha Walker shook the nation, Dehradun lived its own nightmare with the murder of Anupama Gulati, in which her husband saw her body cut into 72 pieces and stored them for days before dumping them. Gave.

Both these gruesome murders have many aspects in common. Here experts said they not only highlight the brutality of the killers but also the fact that the killings were premeditated and not done in a fit of rage.

Former Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police GS Martolia, during whose tenure the Anupam Gulati murder case was unearthed, told PTI that people who kill like this cannot be considered 'normal'.

In both cases, the killers were so cunning that for months they did not let any of their neighbours get a clue of this heinous crime.

Anupama Gulati's husband misled her family and friends by sending messages from her mail id. Poonawalla kept updating Shraddha Walker's social media status for weeks.

What a companionship of Shraddha and Aftab

Shraddha and Aftab met through a dating app in Mumbai.

In 2018, Shraddha used to work in a call center in Mumbai.

Shraddha lived with her mother and her father lived separately.

In 2019, Shraddha told her mother about Aftab and expressed her desire to live together. But the mother refused because of being of a different religion.

Shraddha got angry and left the house and started living in live-in with Aftab.

According to the FIR, only a few days later, Shraddha told her mother that Aftab used to beat her.

When there was no contact with Shraddha for two months, her friend informed about this to Shraddha's brother. After which the father filed a missing report in Mumbai.

In the investigation of Mumbai Police, Shraddha's last location was found in the Mehrauli area of Delhi.

The matter reached the Delhi Police and in the investigation, the needle of suspicion went Aftab.

Police say that during interrogation, Aftab confessed to killing Shraddha, dismembering the body, and throwing it in the forest.

The police investigation has revealed that Aftab and Shraddha often quarrelled over marriage and on May 18, Aftab killed Shraddha in a fit of rage and also bought a large-sized new fridge to hide the body parts.

Delhi Police has told that Aftab had thrown Shraddha's phone after the murder, now the police is looking for that phone. Police said that even after killing Shraddha, Aftab kept using her Instagram account till June so that people would think that Shraddha was alive.
