Delhi to Srinagar Indigo flight caught in a storm, watch turbulence video

A bad weather condition caused heavy turbulence for an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Srinagar on Monday. The flight, 6E6125, departed from the Delhi airport at 5.25 pm and encountered turbulence due to heavy rain. A video of the flight showed passengers gripping their seats while the flight kept shaking.

The airline said in a statement, “IndiGo flight 6E6125 from Delhi to Srinagar faced severe turbulent weather en route.” “The crew followed all operational protocols and the flight landed safely in Srinagar. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the inclement weather,” the statement said.

The video has received reactions from X users, who also shared their terrifying flight experiences. A user wrote, “In 2021, I was flying back from Bengaluru to Kashmir and saw the worst turbulence. The airplane just made a jump and everyone got scared after that the continuous vibrations made the plane dance in clouds and that rain . Now I fear flying by air.”

Another user wrote, “Seeing such incidents, i too fear now.” “Such incidents were horribly scary, about 40 years ago, when only one or two flights a day would operate on this route,” the third user said.

Festive offer Meanwhile, some parts of Kashmir had fresh snowfall on Monday. A video of the Gulmarg skiing resort, shared by All India Radio News on X, went viral that showed a beautiful view of the Valley covered in snow.

Snow and rain hit parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday for the second day, which stopped traffic on the 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway after landslides and falling rocks from hills at more than six places in Ramban district.

Two interstate highways were also shut as a safety measure because of fresh snowfall in the high areas of Bhaderwah in Doda district.

Hundreds of passengers were stuck because of the sudden closure of the main road.

According to news agency PTI, authorities have advised people to not travel on the highway until the road is clear and the weather gets better.
