On Tuesday, the Financial Express reported that Moderna Inc is planning to price its covid vaccine at $50-$60 per course, at least $11 more than another vaccine from Pfizer Inc and BioNTech, citing sources familiar with the matter. The price of the vaccine would apply to the USA and other high-income countries, according to the report.

Corona Vaccine Deal
In a $2 billion deal with the US Government by the Pfizer Inc and its German partner BioNTeck the price of the vaccine is higher than the usual that is; from $39 for a course, or $19.50 per dose to $50-$60 for a course, or $25-$35 per dose (pre-proposed price by the company).
A Moderna spokesperson said the company was in discussions with governments about potential supply of the coronavirus vaccine, called mRNA-1273, but did not share any details on pricing “given the confidential nature of the discussions and contracts.”
The final price for Moderna’s COVID vaccine has yet to be determined, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters. Pfizer, Moderna and Merck & Co are planning to sell their vaccines at a profit, while some other drugmakers, including Johnson & Johnson, have announced their plans to price coronavirus vaccines on a not-for-profit basis.
