India Today Group's Aaj Tak has announced the launch of Aaj Tak 2. A statement released by India Today Group Vice President Kalli Purie said, "AT2 will free AT1 from the confines of a linear medium. It gives us the opportunity to bring the Aaj Bring the mark of journalistic rigor to more than one story simultaneously".
“For now, Aaj Tak 2 will be available on aajtak.in and Aaj Tak digital platforms,” Kalli Purie, VP of India Today Group, said in an internal communication sent to ITG staff this morning.
Announcing the launch, Purie said: “This is the start of an exciting new journey for our much-loved and ubiquitous Aaj Tak brand. AT2 will free AT1 from the confines of a linear medium. It gives us the opportunity to bring the Aaj Tak brand of journalistic rigor to more than one story simultaneously.”
Kashyap will headline Aaj Tak 2 in addition to his current responsibilities, according to the email. Purie wrote, "I hope your experience, enthusiasm, and nose for news will help us create another must-see channel."
The channel will be directed by Anjana Om Kashyap.
