The family of BJP leader Sonali Phogat complained on Wednesday, claiming her recent death was a "pre-planned assassination". The TikTok star's brother has filed a formal complaint with the Goa police and claims that Phogat was killed by two of his associates. The family has also sought a CBI investigation into the matter.

Phogat's brother, Rinku Dhaka, alleged that shortly before her death, Phogat had spoken with her mother, her sister, and her brother-in-law during which she sounded disturbed and complained about the two colleagues. she.

Phogat (42), the Hisar BJP leader in Haryana who had found fame on Tik Tok, was "brought in dead" at St. Anthony's Hospital in Anjuna in North Goa on the morning of August 23, a police officer said, adding that she died of a suspected heart attack.

Her brother Rinku Dhaka filed a formal complaint with the Goa police, claiming that two of her associates murdered her. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said state police were conducting a detailed investigation into Phogat's death.

In his complaint, her brother alleges some serious accusations against PA Sudhir Sangwan of Sonali. He charged him with rape and murder charges in his letter of complaint. He alleged that Sangwan, along with her friend Sukhwinder, were blackmailing Sonali over an objectionable video made after mixing her food with some substance and then raping her. He alleged some political conspiracy behind her murder.

"We had asked her to stay away from them and come back to Hisar the next day (after Phogat spoke to her mother)," Dhaka told reporters outside the Anjuna police station. He claimed that the police have refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) against the two people.

"If the FIR is not filed against him, we will not allow the autopsy to be carried out in Goa," he said.

Dhaka said family members would prefer the autopsy to be carried out at the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi or AIIMS, Jaipur.

"She was the leader of the BJP for the last 15 years. We will also appeal to the prime minister to help us get justice for her," he said.
