On December 18, Indian blogger Zahack Tanveer was arrested by Saudi Arabian security forces for actions considered harmful to the kingdom’s interests.

Zahack, known for his support of Modi and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was taken into custody and is currently in jail.

The details of his arrest and the exact charges against him are being investigated.

On X (previously referred to as Twitter), a person named Vaibhav Singh Said it was disturbing to see that Zahack Tanvir (@zahacktanvir) was arrested by Saudi officers on December 18 on false allegations by the Pakistani authorities.

He requested some people to confront @IndianEmbRiyadh, stating that their current efforts to switch Zahaq could potentially send an unfavorable message of abandoning his nation's patriotic and anti-Ikhwan vote to a foreign country.

Who is Zahack Tanvir?

Zahack Tanvir, a Saudi-based Non-Resident Indian (NRI), has become a prominent figure in counter-extremism, international affairs, and journalism. He is the Director, Founder, and Editor of Milli Chronicle Media England @MilliChronicle, where he promotes pro-Modi and Pro-RSS views.

Zahack's educational journey started in India, and he later moved to Saudi Arabia. He holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and Engineering and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI-ML) from IIIT India. His passion for journalism led him to complete a diploma from the London School of Journalism, and he expanded his expertise in counterterrorism through a program from the University of Leiden, Netherlands. Recently, he completed a Masters program in AI-ML from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom.

Zahack has been invited to speak at esteemed international platforms, including the G20’s Youth-20 and an advocacy event at Capitol Hill, Washington DC.

He participated in a panel of the G20’s Youth-20 Engagement group at the University of Jammu, India in April 2023.

Zahack identifies as an "anti-Islamist", emphasizing his stance against extremist ideologies while practicing his faith.
