On Wednesday, a tragedy struck in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district as a convoy belonging to BJP Lok Sabha candidate Karan Bhushan Sharan Singh was involved in a fatal accident near Baikunth Degree College on Colonelganj-Huzoorpur road. Two individuals died and another remains critically injured.

The incident occurred when Singh's convoy collided with a motorcycle. The deceased were identified, and after the police seized the car, their bodies were sent for postmortem examination.

As per the report by News18, the police have refrained from disclosing whether Karan Bhushan Singh was present in the convoy. Singh is running for the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat, replacing his father, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Allegedly, the car involved belongs to an entity linked to the former WFI chief's family.

The incident occurred as the convoy headed towards Huzurpur on the Colonelganj-Huzurpur Road. Three children crossing near Baikunth Degree College were struck by a vehicle, resulting in injuries.

The accident is under investigation, including Karan Bhushan's presence in the convoy. It happened in Karnailganj, Gonda district.

Karan Bhushan Singh, son of BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, was fielded as a candidate after his father faced sexual harassment allegations. The case is ongoing in a Delhi court. The constituency, Kaiserganj, had a 55.68% voter turnout on May 20.

Who is Karan Singh Bhushan?

Karan Bhushan Singh, born December 13, 1990, has a background in double trap shooting at the national level. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and law degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, and a business management diploma from Australia.

Karan is the current president of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association and previously served as senior vice president. He is also the president of the Cooperative Village Development Bank in Nawabganj, Gonda.
