Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty gets bail

Film actress Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty got bail from Special NDPS Court in Mumbai. Narvotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Showik Chakraborty on 5 September in the drugs case related to Bollywood.

After the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, both the CBI and NCB started investigations.

The CBI had started an investigation into his death, but NCB also joined the investigation after an alleged drug case surfaced in it.

Rhea Chakraborty was also arrested by the NCB and was given bail by the Bombay High Court after a month but Showik got bail after three months.

The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested Rhea and Showik in a drugs case. Rhea got bail in October after spending almost a month in jail.

Rhea and her brother Showik were arrested by the NCB on September 9 after the drugs angle surfaced in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.

Rhea got a conditional bail from the Bombay High Court on 8 October, while Shawik’s bail plea was dismissed. Riya along with Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and staff Deepesh Sawant were also granted bail by the High Court.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s dead body was found on June 14 at his Bandra residence. Initial reports suggested it to be a case of suicide.

However, no suicide note was found. Suicide was also confirmed in postmortem and viscera reports. The Mumbai Police had questioned several people in the case, including relatives of Sushant, friends, staff and people associated with the film industry.

The investigation was handed over to the CBI on the recommendation of the Bihar government after Sushant’s father KK Singh lodged a report against Riya Chakraborty in Patna.

Three central agencies are investigating the CBI, Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau in the Sushant death case.

During the Enforcement Directorate investigation, the drugs angle came out through WhatsApp chats, which was followed by the entry of NCB. Once NCB started an investigation, there were revelations one after another.

The names of Bollywood celebrities came to light after the arrest of several paddlers. He was questioned by the NCB. These include celebs like Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakulpreet, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Rampal.
