The controversy came after the father of Shehla Rashid filed a complaint against her Daughter.

Abdul Rashid has written a letter to Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh, accusing his daughter Shehla Rashid of taking three crore rupees from a Kashmiri businessman.

Abdul Rashid has accused businessman Zahur Ahmad Shah Vatali of taking three crore rupees in return for joining the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement Party. The UPSC Civil Services Examination topper, Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement Party, was started by IAS officer Shah Faisal.

Shah Faisal’s resignation from the IAS is still pending with the government. Vatali and former MLA engineer Rashid were arrested by the NIA in the terrorist funding case 2017 and 2019.

Shehla Rashid has given false accusations to her father’s allegations. She said, “We have lodged an FIR against him for domestic violence. They want to derail the entire judicial process. The court has banned his arrival. They themselves are saying that they have met Vatali. If they have met Vatali, they should reply. If they have made any deal in my name, they should tell. If they feel that I am involved in anti-national activity, then why did they delay it so much? If they are stopped from entering the house then they are doing all this.
