Visiting Dubai on any weekend can be one of the best experiences of your life. However, you need to spend the time right. 48 hours is plenty of time to have a great experience in one of the best cities in the world. However, make sure to get yourself a quality car rental before setting off. Get your Mustang rental in Dubai or any other favorite car delivered at the airport. This way, you will be able to save time and spend it where it matters the most. Here is your 48-hour itinerary for Dubai:
48 Hours in Dubai – Day 1
Start with a Healthy Traditional Emirati Breakfast
Nothing better than starting the day healthy. Experience the Arab culture with a traditional Emirati breakfast. Visit Old Dubai and the Creek. There, you will find many traditional Emirati food places. Get yourself a nice healthy breakfast and get energized for the exciting day to come. Arabian Tea House is a great option to get your Arabian coffee or a nice cup of tea.
Explore the Old Dubai
Old Dubai is a historic place filled with local history. Visit Bur Dubai and walk along the water’s edge. You will also find many souks to explore in the area. Traditional Arab clothing and everything you need, are available there.
Explore the Al Fahidi Fort if you are a history buff. The Dubai Museum isn’t too far as well. Also, this is where you can come aboard an abra, a traditional Arabic ferry. Get to Deira on the opposite side of the Creek. Breathtaking views including historical palaces and more are available. Also, you will get a chance to board a dhow, a larger traditional boat. There is so much to do there. Don’t lose all your time.
Spend Your Afternoon in The Dubai Mall
The Dubai Mall is the biggest shopping mall in the world. Also, it has some of the most stunning artwork, sculptures, waterfalls, and whatnot. From the most luxurious brands to the most expensive hotels, the mall has them all. Buy some nice jewelry or indulge in what pleases you. Also, the world’s largest aquarium and underwater zoo are found in the mall as well. Amazing right?
Experience the Sunset from the Top of the World
Next, visit Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building (if you didn’t know already). Buy the At The Top ticket and head to the world’s highest observation deck. You get to level 125 for 169 Dirhams or to level 148 for 399 Dirhams. Experience the golden sundown moment. Also, you can even up the game with levels 152, 153, and 154 exclusive tour of the outdoor terrace. It is a whopping 585m above ground and will cost you 769 Dirhams.
Grab Some Nice Food
On your way back from the Burj Khalifa, you will be in the heart of Dubai. Find a nice coffee shop or a snack bar. Grab a bite with some nice coffee. The Souk Al Bahar is a great spot and has some nice food places. You will also get the opportunity to see the fountain show that goes off every 30 minutes from 6-11 pm.
Party Hard at the Float
No Dubai weekend trip is complete without a great party. This is just what you get at the cruise ship turned hotel QE2. It hosts some of the most lavish parties in the city. You will be able to enjoy some stunning views of the city from a distance. If you love clubbing, you will have a great time at the Float.
48 Hours in Dubai – Day 2
Aura Skypool for Your Relaxing Breakfast
It is the world’s highest infinity pool offering breathtaking views from all sides. This will be one of the best ways to see Palm Island in its most beautiful state. However, the Aura Skypool is very busy. So, be sure to book in advance. You will the most relaxing breakfast.
Cannot Leave Dubai Without the Beach Experience
The Kyma (meaning wave in Greek) is one of the best new spots in Palm West Beach. Muted cream and coffee colors are plenty and the most elite crowd gets attracted here. Visit the beach and relax for a few hours. You will get to see a different side of the city. Grab a bite at the Kyma and treat yourself to a well-deserved small break.
Experience the Majestic Arab Sunset with an Awesome Souk Madinat Dinner
Head to Souk Madinat Jumeirah to get some of the best views of Burj Al Arab. Pose and snap some nice pictures in the sun and find your way to the Folly. It is the best sundown spot in our opinion. The sunset here is the purest form of Arabic dusk. Also, there is some nice food on offer too.
Glitz of the High Life in Gilt at Burj Al Arab
Ever wonder how the most elite live and enjoy? Visit the Gilt at Burj Al Arab and you’ll find just that. It is going to be very expensive though. The Gilt Bar will offer you some of the best drinks of your life. It is one of the most exclusive hotels in the world offering experiences to remember.
2nd Party at Five Palm Jumeirah
The Five Palm Jumeirah is one of the most popular party hotels in the city. These will be some of your last hours in that 48-hour Dubai journey. Spend them partying and take home memories of a lifetime. Maiden Shanghai, BEACH by Five, and Bling are some of the available party options. However, The Penthouse is arguably the best experience of them all. Head to the Marina side if you want to enjoy the best views overlooking the Dubai Marina and Ain Dubai.
