Dalit youth commits suicide in UP after false allegation,

A Dalit youth committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district, allegedly enraged by the beating of some overbearing men.

The crime of the young man was so much that his goats had eaten the mango tree leaves of the accused. The police have registered a case against three people from the village and arrested the two accused.

Fatehpur Superintendent of Police Satpal Aantil said, “It was reported in Asta village of Malwaan police station that a young man had committed suicide. The family came to know that the young man had a dispute with some people. On his complaint, suicide against three people A case has been registered for abetment and under the Dalit Act. Two people have been arrested.

Dharmapala, son of Ramapati Diwakar, who lives in Asta in Malwa police station area, used to do farming. On Tuesday, he had gone to grazing goats in the village itself. At the same time, he had a dispute with some people, due to which he was very upset.

Dharampal’s father Ramapathi Diwakar says, “The son came out of the house to goat grazing in the evening. There is a mango tree of Bulaki, living in the village by the side of the pond. He was feeding the goat by breaking its leaves. Son Noor Mohammad, Ashik Ali and his nephew Salman reached there. All three beat Dharmapala.

When his mother reached there, they also abused her. When more people from the village arrived, he was hardly released. When the police arrived, they accused Dharmapala of stealing the chain. Troubled by this accusation, he committed suicide. “

According to Ramapati Diwakar, father of the deceased youth Dharampal, the complaint was also reported to the police but no action was taken, but when the accused called the number 112, the police immediately came.

He explains, “The people who beat and beat Dharmapala, the same people came to our house with the police and started accusing Dharampal of stealing jewelry. That hurt Dharampal went quietly inside and committed suicide.
