Aam Aadmi Party leaders accused their leader of selling tickets in Punjab

Ground Report | New Delhi: AAP selling tickets in Punjab; Anger within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the distribution of tickets came to the fore today when angry local party workers cordoned off the press meeting place of Raghav Chadha, co-in-charge of the state unit in Punjab.

According to reports, a commotion broke out during the press conference of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha in Jalandhar, Punjab. AAP leaders were allegedly seen surrounding Raghu Chadha and pushing and shoving each other at the Jalandhar Press Club.

AAP volunteers also displayed black flags and chanted 'Raghav Chadha Chor Hai' against the Punjab AAP co-in charge, who was in the city to address a press conference and include former Congress councillor Dinesh Dhal in the party.

There was a huge commotion and it lasted for about 45 to 50 minutes and even Raghav Chadha had to leave through the back door after the press conference.

Dr. Shiv Dyal Mali, who wanted two tickets from the Jalandhar West Assembly constituency, and Dr. Sanjeev Sharma's volunteers from the Jalandhar Central constituency expressed their displeasure over ignoring him and giving tickets to someone else.

Dr. Mali was also present on the occasion along with APP volunteers and their supporters. As Chadha was entering the club, he chanted slogans against him saying 'Raghav Chadha is a thief' and also used non-parliamentary language against him and some secrets to get many tainted people to join the party. Chadha then did not enter and took a detour in his car and within minutes returned with several people, called Muslims by the protesting AAP volunteers, and entered the press club.

Chadha then addressed the media and announced the involvement of former Congress leader and two-time councilor Dinesh Dhal. Later, as Chadha was about to leave the press club, volunteers gathered again near the entrance, but Chadha made his way to the back door and got into his car. Volunteers recognized his vehicle and started beating him and ran after him, but his driver sped off and hurried away.

Already angry AAP volunteers became even angrier when AAP has released another list of three more candidates including Jalandhar Central from where Dr. Sanjeev Sharma has been ignored and Raman Arora has been fielded.
