Ground Report | New Delhi: Shark Tank India; Get a deal on Shark Tank; Shark Tank India is an Indian business reality television series which airs on SET India from Monday to Friday at 9pm is the Indian version of the American show Shark Tank.

The show is hosted by Ranavijay Singha and has given opportunities to entrepreneurs from different parts of India to present their business to a panel of investors who are termed as sharks, sharks decide whether they want to invest in their company or not. Season one of Shark Tank India premiered from 20 December 2021 to 4 February 2022. The featured panel potential investors include Ashneer Grover Managing Director and Co-founder of BharatPe.

• Aman Gupta who is the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boAt

• Anupam Mittal who is the Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com and People Group

• Ghazal Alagh who is the Co-founder and Chief Mama of MamaEarth

• Namita Thapar who is the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals

• Peyush Bansal who is the Co-founder and CEO of Lenskart

• Vineeta Singh who is the CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics.

"Sharks", listens to entrepreneurs pitch ideas for a business or product they wish to develop. These successful self-made multi-millionaires judge the business concepts and products pitched and then decide whether to invest their own money to help market and mentor each contestant.

Total 62,000 aspirants from India applied for the show to pitch their idea, out of which 198 businesses were selected to pitch their ideas to the “sharks”. Out of those 198, 67 business ideas cracked the deal and got the right investment and funding success by sector are as follows

• Health care 73%

• Technology 61%

• Lifestyle 50%

• Food and beverage 42%
