Assam CM Himanta Sarma controversial statement on Rahul Gandhi

Ground Report | New Delhi: Himanta Sarma on Rahul Gandhi; Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who arrived in Dehradun to campaign for the Uttarakhand assembly elections 2022, made several scathing comments on Congress. Along with this, he also made a personal attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

He said, "Which father's son are you, have we asked for proof of this? Which father's son are you? Why should you ask the army for proof? If our soldiers have said that they have exploded a bomb inside Pakistan, then it has exploded, what is the controversy in this?

Sarma said, "Which father's son are you, have we asked for proof?" He said that if our soldiers said that surgical strike was done then what right do you have to demand proof? Sarma said that why does Rahul Gandhi not have faith in General Bipin Rawat, son of Uttarakhand?

He said, “If our soldiers have said that they conducted surgical strike on Pakistan, then it is final. Have we ever asked for proof whether you are really Rajiv Gandhi's son or not?”

Commenting on the hijab issue, he said, "All Islamic countries are saying that hijab is not necessary. Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are saying wear hijab. But they will not find a single statement where they are saying that you guys Studied engineering, medical.

Sarma said that hijab was not a problem three years ago, but now it has become a problem. In the Karnataka High Court and the Supreme Court, "congress lawyers" defend the hijab, Sarma said.

Sarma also said that Rahul Gandhi's comment that "India is a Union of states" showed that Congress is leading the "tukde tukde gang", the ANI news agency reported.

"Sometimes they (Congress) say that India is not a nation but a Union of States. Hearing all this makes one feel if Jinnah's soul has entered into Congress. It is only right for their politics of polarisation to end. I think it will end to a large extent after elections in the five states," Sarma was quoted by ANI as saying.
