Ground Report | New Delhi: BSP candidates full list; The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has released the first list of candidates for 53 seats in the assembly, contesting the polls in Uttar Pradesh. The list consists of 53 names, the remaining names will be announced in a day or two.
Addressing the press conference in Lucknow, she said: “We have finalized the candidates for 53 seats on the first list, the remaining 5 will be announced in one or two days.” Elections for all 403 Assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases from February 10.
A total of 58 assembly seats spread across 11 districts will go to the polls in the first phase on February 10. Mayawati expressed her confidence in winning the polls and forming a government.
