Ground Report | New Delhi: Yogi Adityanath increased DA; Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced in the assembly on Thursday that his government is going to increase the dearness allowance of the employees coming under the state by 28 percent.

This increase in Dearness Allowance will be applicable from July 2021. Along with this, the honorarium to Anganwadi workers and helpers (AWWs/AWS) will also be increased. Earlier, in the month of July itself, the central government has increased the DA of central employees by 28 percent. And after that gradually some states have increased the DA from 17 percent to 28 percent.

Before Uttar Pradesh, states like Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Jharkhand have brought the DA to 28 percent. But the Tamil Nadu government has refused to do so, due to which protests are going on there.

Yogi Adityanath increased DA

Yogi Adityanath also said that houses will be built for the poor and downtrodden on the land confiscated from the mafia. He said, “The government will build houses for the poor and downtrodden on the land confiscated from the mafia. We do not carry the mafia with us. We take action against them." Along with this, he said that funds have been arranged for the welfare of lawyers.

Making an announcement related to the youth and farmers, Yogi Adityanath said, “In the last four years, Rs 1 lakh crore has been given to sugarcane farmers as arrears. Along with this, the government will give smartphones and tablets to the students selected under a scheme so that they can use digital resources.

Under this scheme of three thousand crores, one crore children will be selected and they will be given smartphones and tablets for studies. We will also give allowance to the students to at least prepare for the competitive exams.”
