Henley Passport Index rankings for the year 2022 have been released. In this the list of the most powerful passports in the world has been announced. India's passport ranking has improved compared to the year 2021. Now India's passport comes at number 83, which was at number 90 last year.

In the new ranking, the passports of Japan, Singapore are considered to be the most powerful in the world.

On the other hand, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan have been considered as the weakest in the year 2022.

The Henley Passport Index 2022 does not consider travel restrictions due to Kovid as in 2021.

What is Henley Passport Index?

The Henley Passport Index ranks passports for countries around the world. In this, the travel freedom of passport holders is judged.

It measures the passports of a total of 199 countries. In this it is also seen that the people of which countries have been given the freedom to roam in the most countries without a visa. The better the ranking of countries, the more countries their citizens can visit without a visa.

The ranking of Indian passport has improved 7 places this year. Now India has moved from 90th to 83rd place. The people of India have now got access without visa to 60 countries around the world. After 2006, there are 35 such countries in India where Indian citizens can go without a visa.
