Why Prakash Jha always choose MP for his film shoots?

Ground Report | New Delhi: Why Prakash Jha always choose MP; There had been talks for a long time about the OTT industry and especially Prakash Jha settling in Madhya Pradesh for shooting films.

Why Prakash Jha always choose MP

Prakash Jha, one of the leading filmmakers of the country has been shooting in the state for a long time. He has been allotted 22 acres of land near Kerwa Dam, MP by the state Govt for developing the area for shooting purposes that he believes will attract the film and television industry in the coming times.

Jha in a recent statement said, "Even now, around one-third of the technical crew in my films is from Bhopal and I do not have to bring them from Mumbai." Praising the quality and maintenance of tourism properties by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Jha said whenever he wants peace and quiet to read or write something, he comes to Madhya Pradesh.

The main reason why the industry is interested in investing in MP is that Madhya Pradesh’s has a low population density (236 persons per sq. km, as per the 2011 Census) and a relatively contained outbreak of Covid (14,771 active cases as of November 30) that had encouraged film crews to shoot in the state, provided by the government have also had a positive impact.

In March, the state government announced its ‘Film Tourism Policy 2020’, attempting to provide a support framework for production houses wishing to shoot in the state. More than 20 films, web series, and TV serials are either being shot in the state at present or are about to begin production.

The government also provides subsidies besides single-window clearance. The subsidy depends on the number of days of shooting scheduled in the state and the number of times a production house returns to film future projects.

A subsidy system has also been announced for companies wishing to set up studios in MP. Web series being shot in the state are eligible for a rebate in the fee paid for securing permissions and a subsidy of up to Rs 50 lakh if the shooting takes place for a minimum of 90 days. Serials are eligible for a similar subsidy for shooting for a minimum 90 days. There are further sops if the film/ web series story is based in MP or the project promotes tourism in the state.

People should get employment, but this land should not be used to humiliate Hindu society. It was shown in the previous installment of the series that women are exploited inside the ashram, right? Stop defaming Hindus and if they want to gain popularity then why don’t they take the name of any other religion and how many protests take place.

“We have just given a warning for now and Prakash Raj has said that he is in talks to change the title of the show,” he added, “I repeat that the name of the show will have to be changed from Ashram or not filmed here.” (Why Prakash Jha always choose MP)
