Ground Report | New Delhi: PM Modi is silent on Lakhimpur; On Thursday, the Prime Minister expressed grief and condolences over an incident in Uttar Pradesh, but the incident was not the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri. He was condoling a road accident in the state's Barabanki district, in which 15 people died.

Through another tweet, the Prime Minister also expressed grief over the deaths due to the collapse of a house in Karnataka, but no tweet came on Lakhimpur.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister's official Twitter handle tweeted, "Saddened by the road accident in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

On Thursday, 15 people were killed and 21 injured in a collision between a bus and a sand-laden truck in a village in Barabanki. After this, the PMO tweeted and announced a compensation of two lakh rupees each to the families of those killed in the accident and 50-50 thousand rupees to the families of the injured.

PM Modi is silent on Lakhimpur

But this statement is 'disturbing' the families of those killed in the Lakhimpur violence. He is asking whether "the Prime Minister is silent on the Lakhimpur incident and apart from reacting to every incident, he is also silent on the violence for which his own Minister of State for Home is responsible".

PM Modi says that his government "does not wait for the people to reach him, but reaches out to the people himself," but the families of the victims of Lakhimpur are asking why Modi and Modi's ministers "reach them". (the victims' families) are not reaching."

The second tweet from the official Twitter handle of Prime Minister Modi is about an accident in Karnataka, in which he writes, "The death of people due to house collapse in Belgaum, Karnataka is sad. My condolences are with the bereaved family in this hour of grief.

Farmers protest

On Sunday, farmers protesting in a car were crushed to death in Lakhimpur Kheri. It is alleged that this car belongs to Ajay Mishra Teni, Minister of State for Home in the Modi government and his son was also in one of these cars. However, Ajay Mishra Teni claims that he and his son were not present at the scene.

According to the newspaper, the Prime Minister, who went to Lucknow after this incident, kept silence on this. Not only this, he was seen patting himself on the back on completion of 20 years in power in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.
