Why justice for Badam Meena is trending, what's the whole matter?

A 32-year-old woman was gang-rapedand and murdered in a village in Rajasthan's Dausa district on Sunday. After committing the crime, the accused killed the woman and threw the body in the well.

Rajkumar Gupta, Superintendent of Police, Dausa said that the main accused Kaluram Meena (22) has been arrested. He is a resident of Sisodia village of Dausa. Another accomplice of Kaluram was also in the car, who is absconding.

According to the police, the woman had left for her village Pahar Dausa's Ramgarh Pachwara from her in-laws' house in Kotkhawada, Jaipur at 10.30 am on April 23.

Dausa Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Gupta said, "She reached the bus stand of her village in Dausa and was on her way to her parents' house when the accused offered her a lift in his vehicle."

They said that instead of taking her to the village, they took her to the forest area and gang-raped her. The officer said that after the gang rape, they killed the woman and dumped her body in a well.

They were also passing through the same path. Kaluram drives a private car on rent. He asked the woman to give him a lift in the car. The woman sat in the car. After this Kaluram took him to a secluded place. He and his accomplice raped the woman. After the rape, murdered in the Bassi police station area, threw the dead body in the well and escaped from the spot.

ASP Dr. Lalchand Kayal said that till the late evening of 23 April, when the woman did not reach home on 24 April, the family members went to the police station and wrote a missing report.

The police checked the CCTV footage of the bus stand during the investigation of the case. The woman was seen at the bus stand in CCTV. At the same time, Kaluram's car was also seen, which left for the way of the village after some time after the woman left.

When the police asked about the car at the bus stand, it turned out to be of Kaluram, a resident of Sisodia. On Monday, the police reached Sisodia in search of Kaluram and arrested him.

During interrogation, he confessed to the crime. At the behest of Kaluram, the body of the woman was taken out from the well today. Kaluram's accomplice is absconding.
