Who is Deepika Rajawat?

Deepika Rajawat is a Kashmiri lawyer and had come up for discussion in January 2018 after an alleged rape incident with a minor. Deepika was the victim's lawyer, but the family later dropped her from the case. The victim's family had alleged that Deepika was only taking publicity from this case, while she has no interest in the case and does not come to the court.

During the case, Rajawat had even sought protection as she was purportedly receiving threats for representing the affected family. However, in November 2018, she was removed from the case in the trial court at Pathankot in Punjab on the basis of an application moved by the father of the eight-year-old victim.
