Swara Bhaskar is constantly in the discussion about her opinion on social media and has recently made a comment on the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan. It is a difficult time for Afghanistan as the Taliban have taken control of the conflict-torn country following the withdrawal of US troops and military forces from the capital, Kabul. In her tweet, Swara compared the situation to that of India.
Swara Bhaskar wrote, “We can’t be okay with Hindutva terror & be all shocked & devastated at Taliban terror… & We can’t be chill with #Taliban terror, and then be all indignant about #Hindutva terror! Our humanitarian & ethical values should not be based on the identity of the oppressor or oppressed.”
Why Arrest Swara Bhasker is trending
After this tweet of Swara Bhaskar created a ruckus on social media, she is being fiercely criticized on social media. Anger is being seen inside people after her tweet. Along with criticizing, people on social media are demanding her arrest.
One user wrote, ‘Under section 295A of IPC, whoever hurts religious feelings, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years.’

Another Twitter user wrote, “This is one time too many. We should not normalise equating terrorism with our Hindu identity especially when there is no iota of truth in it. #ArrestSwaraBhasker.” It is also notable that Swara received backlash in 2020 when a clip of Swara opposing the CAA bill went viral on social media.
Another user wrote on social media, ‘Swara Bhaskar has experienced ‘Hindutva terror’. Now the government must send them to Afghanistan to make them experience Taliban terror for six months. Only then will she be able to compare.
