Ground Report | New Delhi: Why are Railway Students Demanding Justice; The #JusticeForRailwayStudents in on trending on twitter. This is where Railway Group D aspirants have started a digital protest against the system and are demanding justice. Ths is because the RRB announced the vacancy for 1,03,769 seats in 2019, and the board is yet to conduct the whole exams and declare the results.

Why are Railway Students Demanding Justice

Over 1 crore railway aspirants are waiting for the RRB Group D 2019 exam update for more than 1000 days now. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has not yet announced the RRB Group D 2019 exam dates. On Wednesday, a digital protest was launched, where scores of applicants raised their voice over the issue.

Many of the candidates who applied for the exam in March 2019 have crossed their maximum age limit and now they are not eligible for the examination. Aspirants for Railway Group D jobs want verified training and joining dates for those who pass the exam, as well as a set date for the Group D exams.

Students are claiming that even till now, the vendor has not been decided for conducting the exams. Almost 1000 crore was collected as application fee by the board and there is no update on the recruitment.

 Hansraj Meena who calls himself Writer, blogger & Socio-Political Activist is one of the users who tweeted about the demands of railway aspirants.  He tweeted, " Basic demands of railway aspirants. 1. Railway NTPC and group d training n joined dates 2. Exams date of group D railway 3. new vacancy in railway 4. Conduct IRMS Exam. #JusticeForRailwayStudents”

Candidates and the supporters are using memes to express their rage and helplessness. They are also sharing videos explaining the problems faced by them due to the delay in the exam. The opposition parties are also using the trend to get back at the incumbent party and especially PM Modi.

On November 26, Railway Recruitment Board has released a notice related to RRB Group D Exam 2019. The notice has been released for those candidates whose applications have been rejected. Through the notification, candidates were informed that they can modify their application forms in case it has been rejected. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) said that the modification link has not been generated yet but will be generated soon.
