Ground Report | New Delhi: Who was Oleg Mityaev; A fourth Russian general has now been killed, Ukrainian authorities said. Major General Oleg Mityaev, 47, was killed in the assault on Mariupol, along with seven members of an elite SWAT team, in a further blow to Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

The adviser to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko, published an image of the corpse of the decorated military officer, the father of two children.

The commander of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division is the fourth Russian general to die in the war, according to Kyiv.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had reported the death of another Russian general in his late-night speech but did not name him.

Meanwhile, pictures were released in Russia showing the photographs of six elite "maroon beret" special forces fighters from the Vityaz Special Purpose Center of the Dzerzhinsky Division.

Major General Oleg Mityaev, 47, commander of the army's feared 150th Motorized Rifle Division, was killed in the assault on Mariupol, Ukrainians say. Moscow has only confirmed the death of one general and has not commented on reports about Mityaev.

A mourning picture was released in Russia showing the photographs of six elite "maroon beret" special forces fighters from the Vityaz Special Purpose Center of the Dzerzhinsky Division, named after the founder of the Soviet secret police Felix Dzerzhinsky. It was later revealed that a seventh had been killed. Only four have been named.

Major Viktor Maksimchuk, 44, was a commander of a motorized rifle regiment, who was also killed in fighting near Mariupol. Father and grandfather, his funeral is scheduled for Wednesday in the Krasnodar region.
