How Did Russian Colonel Denis Kurilo Got Killed?

Ground Report | New Delhi: Colonel Denis Kurilo, commander of the 200th Separate Motorized Riflemen Brigade (Military Division 08275, Pechenga), was killed in the fighting near Kharkiv. The 200th Brigade has suffered the most during the so-called "special military operation".

The 1st Battalion-Tactical Group of one of the most elite brigades of the Russian Army in the War of Victory against Ukraine was personally led by the brigade commander of the 200th Brigade, Colonel Denis Kurilo. The invaders were equipped with the most modern weapons that Russia normally possesses.

“One of our unfinished mechanized battalions defeated the brigade in a one-on-one fight. Now this military equipment has replenished the composition of a brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And the battalion is already replenished in the state with inspired reservists, who are taken to positions on specially captured Russian KAMAZ vehicles in order to develop combat traditions of superiority over the Russian invaders, ” Butusov said.

Russian airstrikes on various Ukrainian cities are still ongoing, and sirens for airstrikes were heard just before dawn on Tuesday, March 29. Ukrainian officials say Russian attacks have closed roads leading to some cities.

Ukraine claims that Russian troops have been pushed out of the city of Arpan, on the outskirts of the capital Kiev. Russia has seized control of the city, but says "fighting is still going on and it would be premature to talk about security in this part of the region."

The head of Ukraine's armed forces has accused Russian forces of continuing missile strikes on residential areas across the country. He said some fuel reserves had also been targeted in order to "complicate logistics" as well as "create a humanitarian crisis."

The Ukrainian military also claims that Russian units are trying to terrorize civilians in the capital, Kyiv, in the southeast by Zaforizhiya, in the south by Kherson and in the east by Kharkiv by looting, kidnapping and taking civilians hostage. However, these claims have not been confirmed by any independent source.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says Ukraine has achieved some victories since the Russian invasion of his country on February 24, but the situation remains tense. He said in a video address to the nation on his telegram channel at night that Russian forces had been repulsed in Arpan, a suburb of Kyiv.

"Russian troops have taken control of the northern part of Kyiv. They have the resources and manpower. They are trying to rebuild their destroyed units," he said.

Zelensky said Europe could add Russian oil supplies to its sanctions list only if Russia used chemical weapons in its war effort. However, he said, "there are no words for it." (Denis Kurylo)
